The ARTree Teams Up With Old Town Newhall Library

The ARTree began teaching free art classes at the Old Town Newhall Library this month. The classes are held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. the first and second Friday of each month. Classes are aimed toward eight to thirteen year olds. This month we completed a free standing art piece made of large, recycled holiday boxes covered with a variety of fun textures of recycled wrapping paper, calendar pages and ribbons. The students added resolutions and good wishes for 2013. The finished piece is located in the entry area of the library right across from the children’s section. Stop by and check it out. It will be on display for the rest of the month. Our February group project will focus on Chinese New Year.
